Wesley College Melbourne Australia
Artworks from the Collection

Online art gallery

Wesley College has a fine collection of art based on the Alec Cato Collection of Australian paintings - mainly of the landscape genre dating from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century.

Some of the artists featured include John William Ashton, Sir Arthur Streeton, Sir Hans Heysen, Sir Lionel Lindsay, Norman Lindsay, Percy Lindsay, Penleigh Boyd, Harold Herbert, Sir Frederick McCubbin and Tom Roberts.

Works are exhibited and are also lent to public galleries for exhibition and research purposes.

The College continues to add to the collection with the acquisition of contemporary art, as well as creating a collection of student artworks. Paintings are available for viewing, by appointment, when not on public display.

The Wesley College Art Collection Online Gallery, below, features a selection of works from the collection and which will be added to, over time.
