R. G. Menzies Scholarships

Named after one of our most famous alumni, Sir Robert Menzies, Prime Minister of Australia (1939 – 1941 and 1949 – 1966), the R. G. Menzies Scholarships were created to support children who may one day make a difference in their chosen field of endeavour.

In 1910, by gaining a scholarship, Robert Gordon Menzies embarked on his journey at Wesley College where he quickly established himself as an outstanding student, receiving awards and honours in Poetry and English Literature. His parents selected Wesley for the quality of its teaching and teachers, a tradition that is Robert Gordon Menzies 1913 well and truly maintained today.

Scholarships are open to girls and boys for entry into the secondary years and will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and achievement and leadership potential.

There is an Application Fee of AUD$100 which is waived for current Wesley students and children of Old Collegians. Please note that students may apply for either the General Excellence Scholarship or R.G. Menzies Scholarship, not both.

Applications for 2018 entry are now closed. Applications for 2019 entry will open in November 2017
