FAQ’s 

How do I apply for a Learning in Residence Boarding Scholarship? 

Please complete application forms and return by email to scholarships@wesleycollege.net prior to the closing date for consideration. 

Step 1.

Download and complete the application form and pay the AUD$100 application fee* via credit card using the payment form enclosed. (*Application fee is waived for current students and children/grandchildren of Old Collegians) 

Step 2.

Attach the following required documents relating to the applicant; most recent school report, NAPLAN report and recent photograph 

Step 3.

Scan and email your complete application in Adobe PDF Format to scholarships@wesleycollege.net (Please note the file limit is 20MB and that ONLY the most recent School Report, NAPLAN and recent Photograph of the student are required at application stage. Extra supporting documents will not be considered) 

Please note: No hard copy applications will be accepted. Also, please do not submit your application unless you have all the required supporting documents mentioned above. 

What is the selection criteria for the Learning in Residence Boarding Scholarship? 

Scholarships for Learning in Residence Boarding are open to current and new students entering Years 10 or 11 in 2020 who are Australian citizens. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Principal and are assessed on the following:

The student must have a strong academic background 

Interview with the Director of Boarding and Head of Campus 

Is there an application fee? 

There is an Application Fee of AUD$100 which is waived for current Wesley students and children or grandchildren of Old Wesley Collegians. 

How many Learning in Residence Boarding Scholarships does Wesley award each year and what is each scholarship worth? 

Wesley awards a significant number of scholarships each year. The number and value of scholarships allocated is determined by the quality of applicants and the availability of places. Typically, Scholarships will be awarded as a 50% reduction of tuition fees and boarding (up until Year 12, based on an annual review). 

Can my child apply for a Lewis Posner Boarding and Learning in Residence Boarding Scholarship? 

  • Lewis Posner Boarding Scholarships are available to NEW students entering Year 10 or 11 in 2020 from rural and regional Victoria only. 
  • Learning in Residence Boarding Scholarships are available to NEW and current students entering Year 10 or 11 in 2020. 
  • If eligible, students can only apply for one type of boarding scholarship 

Does Wesley award full scholarships? 

No, Wesley does not offer full scholarships. 

How will I know you have received my child’s application? 

You will receive an acknowledgement email from an Admissions staff member. 

Can the school provide feedback on how my child can improve their application for future years? 

Due to the high volume of applications, the College does not provide feedback on scholarship applications. 

If my child is successful, what is the process to accept a scholarship offer at Wesley? 

To accept your child’s scholarship offer you will be required to pay a $1200 Confirmation Fee. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Is there academic testing required for Learning in Residence Boarding Scholarships?

No, academic testing is not required for Learning in Residence Boarding Scholarships. However, we do need a copy of the student’s most recent school report and NAPLAN.



Lewis Posner Boarding Scholarships

The Wesley College Foundation is honoured to offer the Lewis Posner Boarding Scholarship, generously endowed by the late Lewis Posner (OW1925) and his sister, Rozetta Lenzer. This scholarship is awarded specifically to worthy students from rural and regional Victoria looking to board and study at the Glen Waverley Campus of Wesley College.
